Provides fast access to Outlook's data folders and settings from desktop.
Outlook settings are hidden within a complicated system of menus, and sometimes it requires a lot of digging to access the core settings of the program.
The program has five tabs, each covering specific settings. The General tab displays the path of outlook.exe, roaming data, and outlook data. It can customize a temporary folder for attachments, open and run scans for .PST and .OST integrity. The Startup Switches tab defines which action should be performed by Outlook at startup. It offers a large area of choices from toolbars reset, to rules, and shares cleaning.
Clear MRU offers options for deleting the most recent used actions, like search results, various folders opened, or appointment locations. The New mail alert tab customizes the way the desktop alerts are displayed. Users can set the duration of the pop up announcement and the transparency. The last tab, Blocked Attachments, displays a list of extensions which can be blocked when received as attachments. This is a very handy option because Outlook blocks by default some types of files.
Outlook Tools works in all Windows from Windows 2000 to Windows 7, and requires Microsoft .NET Framework installed.
